Today, Yggdrasil Gaming, a Maltese casino software developer, signed a contract with an Italian-based GVC Holdings. It should be reminded that Yggdrasil declared its intention to enter the Italian online gambling market in January 2017 and this deal has become the first step in this expansion.
No doubts many of you enjoy Yggdrasil Gaming pokies with their superb graphics and fascinating gameplay but the Italian players didn't have an opportunity to play their games until now. Very soon Yggdrasil Gaming pokies will be integrated into popular Italian gambling brands bwin.it and Gioco Digitale.
Initially, only 11 games from the portfolio will be certified by the Italian regulators. However, this will be a number of famous titles including Bicicleta, Seasons, Dark Joker Rizes, Vikings Go Wild, and Nirvana. All these games will be available both on desktop and mobile devices thanks to the HTML5 framework.
The games will support all modern promotional tools developed by Yggdrasil Gaming including BOOST, social sharing BRAG tool, and, the best one, Missions feature available across multiple games where player can compete for extra prizes.
Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: “We are thrilled to have joined forces with an operator as big and as respected as GVC to enter the Italian market.
“We will provide GVC’s Italian operations with a premium gaming platform to initially offer eleven certified games with a view to providing many more as the partnership develops.
“We have grown our footprint across Europe this past year. This is the latest in a long line of big deals, and shows the progress we are making and just how desirable our games and in-game promotional tools have become.”
Liron Snir, Chief Product Officer at GVC Holdings, added: “Our mission is to offer our players the widest possible range of quality games.
“Yggdrasil titles have taken the market by storm and it is a great step for us to be able integrate this first-rate content into our Italian offer. What’s more, their in-game promotional tools are genuinely innovative, particularly the BRAG feature which was a real draw for us.”
