Paddy Power, the world leading betting company, has opened the position of ‘head of Trump betting’.
The key responsibilities include:
- Keeping up with press-conferences, statements, and tweets of the US president;
- Development of special Trump-related offers;
- Tracking ‘general idiocy’ of the president.
A successful candidate will be offered 3-month contract based in Dublin. The contract involves monitoring and managing existing Trump bets while developing new products to be launched.
The candidates are expected to be able to harness high volumes of data using real-time trading applications in a high-pressure environment or at least to have ‘an ability to make something up on the spot and stand by it resolutely, shouting down anyone that disagrees’. The other requirements are ‘ability to detect fake news’ and decode Trumpisms.
Paddy Power representative commented on the opportunity even though it is clearly humorous, the company is ready to offer the contract if they find a suitable candidate.
